About the program

Overview

The Language Center offers a comprehensive program for teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages. The program includes Modern Standard Arabic courses from levels 1-9, classified according to international standards for teaching foreign languages, including the American ACTFL and the European CEFR. The curriculum covers both Modern Standard Arabic and Ammiya.

Our program aims to attract international students who wish to study Arabic and immerse themselves in Jordanian culture. It focuses on enhancing language skills such as reading, listening, speaking, and writing, while also emphasizing cultural inclusion in the curriculum.

APSOL offers two tracks: the General Regular Program and the Tailor-made Program. The General Regular Program consists of 9 levels. Upon entrance, students take a placement test and are assigned to the appropriate level based on their scores. Students are required to attend classes 5 days a week, 20 hours per week, for 12 weeks during the Fall and 16 weeks during the Spring semesters, and for 8 weeks during the Summer semesters. Tuition and fees vary depending on the duration and type of enrollment (on-site or online).

The Tailor-made Program offers individuals the opportunity to enroll within a limited time frame to meet their specific needs in learning Arabic. Prices for this program vary depending on the number of students, with rates charged per hour. This program can be conducted both on-site and online.

Students can engage in unique cultural experiences to practice their Arabic in real-life situations. They will learn about Arab culture through class activities, social events, and collaboration with their peers. Our immersive approach combines classroom learning with real-world practice. Our curriculum includes cultural activities such as local excursions, clubs, and the Language and Culture Partner Program. The clubs and the Culture partner program aim to integrate language learning with cultural immersion. We have 10 clubs: the Cultural and Literary Club, the Cultural Content Industry Club, the Arabic Calligraphy Club, the Debate Club, the Handicraft and Drawing Club, the Movie Club, the Trips Club, the Cooking Club, and the Sport and Horse-riding Club. The Language and Culture Partner Program is designed to enhance language learning by pairing international students with Arabic native speakers.
