FSP – Fachsprachprüfung Medizin

Course Duration: 6 weeks
Mode of Delivery: In-person
Target Group: Students wishing to specialize in the medical field in Germany

Theoretical Aspects

Module 1:

Learning medical terminology

  • Names of common diseases such as:
    (Diabetes – Blood Pressure – Stroke – Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) – Heart Failure)

Module 2:

  • Learning about medical specialties and subspecialties (spezialisieren auf)
    (Oncology – Dermatology – Cardiology – Gastroenterology, etc.)

Module 3:

  • Conducting simple conversations and dialogues within a clinic or hospital and learning important expressions and terms such as Emergency – Blood Test – Referral – Shift Work
    (Notaufnahme – Blutuntersuchung – Überweisung – Schichtdienst)

Practical Aspects

  • Understanding the question patterns of the licensing exam, noting that each German state has a different exam.
  • Analyzing texts related to the medical field.
  • Focusing on listening skills to enable students to understand medical cases and provide the appropriate treatment or medication (through listening exercises during the course).
  • Emphasis on the practical aspect (conversation), as the exam is oral, not written. This includes taking a medical history and performing a clinical examination (Anamnese – klinische Untersuchung).

Preparation for the International German Language Exam Goethe/ÖSD A1

Course Duration: 6 weeks
Mode of Delivery: In-person
Target Group: Students and individuals interested in obtaining an international language certificate.

Theoretical Aspects

Module 1:

  • Learning basic vocabulary in contexts such as café, shopping, and train station.

Module 2:

  • Talking about daily activities and hobbies.

Module 3:

  • Conducting simple dialogues (written and oral).

Module 4:

  • Mastering the three main tenses (present, future, and past) to use them in both oral and written expression.

Module 5:

  • Understanding and analyzing texts.

Module 6:

  • Equipping students with learning strategies and providing online resources to deepen their knowledge of the language.

Module 7:

  • Reading and understanding advertisements in newspapers, such as looking for housing, jobs, or similar needs.
  • Practicing listening comprehension and distinguishing numbers within dialogues.
  • Enabling students to introduce themselves during the oral expression part, including:
    (Name – Residence – Age – Spoken Languages – Hobbies – Purpose of learning the language)

Practical Aspects

  • Familiarizing students with previous exam models and solving them.
  • Analyzing texts and identifying keywords that aid understanding.

Preparation for the International German Language Exam Goethe/ÖSD A2

(Details same as A1 with relevant level adjustments.)


Preparation for the International German Language Exam Goethe/ÖSD B1

Course Duration: 6 weeks
Mode of Delivery: In-person
Target Group: Students and individuals interested in obtaining an international language certificate.

Theoretical Aspects

Module 1:

  • Writing informal emails of no less than 80 words by answering provided questions.

Module 2:

  • Writing a paragraph expressing an opinion on a topic of no less than 80 words, such as recurring topics:
    Smoking Ban in Restaurants – Environmental Protection – Do Children Watch Too Much TV? – Children and Mobile Phones – Foreign Languages in Kindergarten – Vegetarian Diet.

Module 3:

  • Writing a formal email to apologize for a missed appointment or to apply for a job after reading an advertisement in a newspaper or online, around 40 words, while observing writing rules such as using Sie appropriately, applying Konjunktiv II, and correct punctuation.

Module 4:

  • Conducting dialogues (between two people) about planning a trip, party, or movie night (Etwas gemeinsam planen).

Module 5:

  • Giving a presentation on a topic by sharing personal experiences related to it in their home country (e.g., Jordan), mentioning its pros and cons, and expressing opinions coherently and accurately. Common topics include:
    Fast Food – Extreme Sports – Learning Foreign Languages – Traveling or Staying Home – Social Networks (Facebook) – Car-Free City Centers, etc.
  • Learning different ways to talk about the future.
  • Learning various polite ways to make requests in German.
  • Understanding how to construct and use complex sentences.

Practical Aspects

  • Familiarizing students with previous exam models and solving them.
  • Analyzing texts and identifying keywords to better understand the text and its deeper meaning.
  • Practicing listening dialogues and solving the five tasks (Hören Sie einmal oder zweimal).
  • Enabling students to comprehend and analyze texts and extract the main idea to select the appropriate title from similar options by focusing on keywords.
  • Focusing on intonation during listening comprehension and facial expressions using phrases like:
    (Na ja! Warum nicht – Klar – Stimmt – Genau – Ach so – Einverstanden)

Preparation for the International German Language Exam Goethe/ÖSD B2

(Details would follow the same structure, adapted for B2 level content and depth.)


German Communication Skills

Conversation Skills in German for Levels A1–B2

Course Duration: 6 weeks
Mode of Delivery: In-person
Target Group:

  1. Students and individuals seeking an international language certificate.
  2. Students and individuals interested in acquiring communication skills.
  3. Students and individuals interested in acquiring conversation skills.

Theoretical Aspects

  • Learning different ways to talk about the future.
  • Learning multiple ways to make requests politely in German.
  • Understanding how to construct and use complex sentence structures.

Practical Aspects

  • Conducting diverse conversations on various topics chosen by the instructor according to students’ levels and interests to encourage speaking in German.
  • Each session is enriched with videos, activities, and games. This is a purely practical course focused on applied conversation aligned with the learning objectives to motivate students to practice.
  • Encouraging students to research certain topics and discuss them in class.
  • Role-playing.
  • Presentations delivered by students on suggested topics.
